Nursing Scholarship Goes to Warren County Resident

On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Community Visiting Nurse Association (CVNA) presented its 11th annual Caroline E. Krajewski Manney Nursing Scholarship Award at its 69th Annual Meeting at the Bridgewater Manor.  The scholarship was developed in memory of Caroline E. Krajewski Manney, former Director of Community VNA from 1969 to 1985.  Ms. Manney was a true visionary, recognizing the importance of home care and community-based services in promoting the health of individuals and the community.  The award is present to an individual, or individuals, who reside in Somerset or Warren County, are pursuing a career in nursing and who demonstrates dedication to the field of nursing and community health.  Helping to present the award was current Board Member, Therese Steinhardt.  This year’s scholarship recipient is Lais Parichuk of Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

Community VNA is proud of its commitment to the field of nursing and to the community, awarding this nursing scholarship to a local Warren County resident.  Alyce Brophy, President/CEO of CVNA, stated, “Lais embodies the values of Caroline Krajewski Manney, the agency’s former director.  She is passionate about learning, dedicated to making a difference and values the promotion of health and wellness in our community.”

Ms. Parichuk, a nursing student at Warren County Community College pursuing an Associate’s degree, stated,  “I have grown to love my patients and only want to gain the knowledge to do more.”

Community VNA is proud to promote the field of nursing as well as honor our former Director by providing the Caroline E. Krajewski Manney Nursing Scholarship Award.
