Community Visiting Nurse Association and Somerset Medical Center sponsored a program for caregivers on Wednesday, January 4, that featured Lisa Niemi Swayze, wife of late actor Patrick Swayze. She discussed her new book, “Worth Fighting For: Love, Loss and Moving Forward,” which details the months following Patrick Swayze's diagnosis until his death in September, 2009. Read more...

Grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Awarded
November, 2011 - Community Visiting Nurse Association (CVNA) is pleased to announce the kickoff of its Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-New Jersey Health Initiatives “Transitions in Care Program.” The grant represents a collaborative effort among eight Somerset County health care providers seeking a joint approach to provide quality care, patient self management, and empowerment to individuals with chronic illnesses such as Congestive Health Failure and Diabetes. Community Care Hospice Launches Car Donation program
February, 2011 - Community Care Hospice is now accepting donations of cars to help fund its services. Any make of car, truck or van may be donated, and the vehicle may be in any condition. The tow-away service is provided without charge, and a receipt for the value of the vehicle is provided for use as a tax deduction. Community Care Hospice provides end of life services for residents of Somerset and Middlesex Counties.

Community Visiting Nurse Association Provides Child Health Clinics to Local Residents
At our Child Health Clinics, Community VNA provides well baby check-ups and immunizations for newborns, toddlers and pre-school children, as well as immunizations for children aged 18 and under who are attending school. There is no charge for this service. Read more...
